About me
Regina Smith, is a National Board Certified educator with over 10 years of experience teaching computer science and cybersecurity and more than 25 years of industry experience in business and information technology. She teaches at Kearns Academy of Computer and Information Sciences in Guilford County Schools, where she prepares students for careers in cybersecurity through hands-on, industry-aligned learning experiences. Regina is a College Board AP Cybersecurity Summer Institute facilitator and has presented at state and regional education conferences on cybersecurity, computer science, and innovative instructional practices. She is the 2026 Guilford County Schools CTE Teacher of the Year and a North Carolina Career and Technical Education Teacher of the Year Finalist. Regina is passionate about helping schools build a culture of digital trust, cyber resilience, and shared responsibility for cybersecurity.
