Jonathan Lancho Villa is a multilingual educator at Pilot Mountain Elementary and Mountain Park Elementary in Surry County Schools. Originally from Spain, Jonathan is passionate about equipping multilingual learners with the language, confidence, and academic skills they need to thrive. He was selected as the 2025 Surry County Schools Teacher of the Year and the 2026 Piedmont-Triad Regional Teacher of the Year, where he advocates for innovative, student-centered instructional practices that empower diverse learners. Jonathan enjoys sharing practical strategies that help educators create inclusive classrooms where every multilingual student can succeed and belong.
